Dennis Frere-Smith is an extremely talented multi-instrumental/vocal entertainer who delivers a highly professional act with style, comedic content and plenty of character. From an extensive repertoire of songs and instrumentals covering most genres of music, I personalise my performances at every opportunity and guarantee to add that extra special touch to all occasions.
Having performed in shows with Bruce Forsyth, Gary Wilmot and Jim Davidson, as well as residencies at Hammersmith Palais the Lyceum Theatre, London, summer seasons and top hotels, such as the Leela Penta, Bombay, I draw on a wealth of experience to create the Dennis Frere-Smith Show.
From the Great American Songbook, through the Swing era to pops, rock ‘n’ roll and party dances, I provide entertainment for all types of events and celebrations. Dinner Dances are also a feature of my repertoire as I incorporate my experience of strict tempo and ballroom from playing in different House and Function Bands.
For Cabaret and club settings I deliver a unique style of musical variety entertainment incorporating a slick routine of comedy, songs and instrumentals which also features a hilarious audience participation section.
