I love performing as a solo musician and an entertainer in many different settings and enjoy giving happiness to other people in the process. Music was my favourite subject at school and I was always playing around with whatever instruments I could get my hands on. Singing was encouraged at school as well and gave me the opportunity to use my voice as an instrument too. I am indebted to the Norfolk and Norwich Music Service for providing me with my earliest opportunities to perform in public and also grateful to have been able to share my experiences through teaching other people over the years.

On leaving school, I past the audition as cornet and trumpet player for the Scots Guards band. As a young brass player the experience was outstanding and a promising start to my future career as a freelancer. The noteworthy residencies I had as a Trumpet/Flugelhorn player were at Hammersmith Palais Ballroom and the Lyceum in the Strand before freelancing with numerous other bands and taking another residency at Caesars Palace, Luton during the latter part of the 70s and early 80s. It was during these residencies that I had the good fortune of working with such wonderful entertainers as Bruce Forsyth, Rose Royce, Earth Wind and Fire, Gary Wilmot and Chas and Dave.

During the changes to the business in the early 80s I formed my own function band for all manner of private functions and holiday centres. During this period and into the 90s I began working with a female vocalist which led to new areas of performance such as small groups and cabaret shows in which I sang as well as played instruments. Memorable moments include performances at the Leela Penta hotel in Bombay, tours of Germany for NAAFI entertainments and regular bookings on the Sally Line and at London hotels.

I decided to “go solo” in 1996 and built up a substantial repertoire of Backing Tracks spanning a wide variety of musical genres. I am adept at providing customised set-lists for clients and for providing a unique style of interactive entertainment. Now I perform in all kinds of venues from restaurants and hotels to concert halls and theatres. In addition to my Musical Variety act I have become known for incorporating my Novelty act which was shown on Briatian’s Got Talent from ondon Palladium 2024
